I have been obsessing over interiors since the ripe ole age of 6. This is when I convinced my parents I needed my own room and I needed to help design it. A small 10'x10' pink and purple room was built off of the back of the house and an Interior Girl was born.

Coming from a modest background and being the youngest of four girls, I learned very quickly how to turn trash into treasure. I discovered garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores were full of priceless pieces that would make any room tell a story and feel unique. I took this early knowledge and refined it with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design and became a Registered Interior Designer with the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners. That accompanied with 13 years of industry experience in commercial, corporate, retail and residential design has molded me into the designer I am today.

My style can be described as functional, sophisticated, layered and unique. I like to mix new pieces with one of a kind found objects. My goal is for a space to feel beautiful but also lived in. I firmly believe one’s mood is directly affected by their surroundings. This philosophy along with my passion for interiors is why I created Interior Girl. I wanted to inspire readers and clients to create a space that makes them feel their best and that is uniquely their own.
